PageFour—An alternative word processor designed with writers in mind. Offers superior organizational skills, comparisons between drafts, powerful search engine, multi-lingual dictionary and thesaurus, and a scan feature that analyzes text for overused words and phrases. Allows users to import documents from Microsoft Word.

Power Writer—A simplistic word processor that provides an integrated outlining system and myriad places to keep and organize notes. Not as utilitarian as Word or as versatile as PageFour, but the notekeeping sections are useful.
